Laser liposuction is a minimally invasive procedure using only local (tumescent) anesthesia and very small cannulas (tubes) gently inserted under the skin. The cannula is moved back and forth as it suctions out unwanted fat cells. LipoSculpting can be achieved by combining a laser to tighten the skin. Because general anesthesia is not necessary, the procedure is very safely performed in-office and while patient is awake! Laser lipo is an advanced body contouring procedure, and can be performed on its own, or in combination with other procedures, such as Autologous Fat Transfer.
Autologous Fat Transfer, also know as AFT, is a body contouring technique that uses a patient’s own fat to achieve the desired contours. Only local anesthetic is used, allowing the patient to be awake during the procedure and, if desired, view the results during the procedure. No scalpel and no stitches, so our patients are able to quickly return to their normal activities. And while the procedure is sometimes referred as a fat injection, we do not inject the living fat, but rather gently place the fat using very thin blunt tipped tubes, known as cannulas special fat grafting and transplantation techniques, providing for an accurate and long lasting result.
Blepharoplasty can correct droopy eyelids that create an older appearance and can remove the puffiness and bags under the eyes that create the tired look. In upper eyelid surgery, Dr Buckley marks the individual lines and creases of the lids in order to keep the scars as invisible as possible along these natural folds. In lower eyelid surgery, Dr. Buckley makes the incision in an inconspicuous site along the lashline. Eyelid puffiness caused primarily by excess fat may be corrected by a transconjunctival blepharoplasty. The incision in this case is made inside the lower eyelid. Fine sutures are used to close the incisions, thereby minimizing the visibility of any scar.
Mini face lifts are performed in-office with local "while-awake" tumescent anesthesia. The mini lift utilizes incisions placed in the normal skin creases in front of the ears. The mini facelift works first under the skin where facial muscles (SMAS) are tightened. This allows for repositioning of skin, removal of excess and results in tightening and a decrease in sagging. You will have some swelling and small stitches, mostly hidden under the skin. You may have some bruising and you should plan on having a week where you don’t have to go out in public. The sutures are removed 7 days after the procedure. The lift helps to pull out wrinkles and facial contours are improved.
Brachioplasty (or upper arm lift) is performed to surgically eliminate loose, hanging skin from the upper arms. Aging and significant weight loss can lead to a loss of skin elasticity. Our surgeons will evaluate your upper arms to assess the amount and location of the fatty tissue as well as the degree of skin laxity. In patients with relatively good skin tone, liposuction or non-invasive skin tightening may be all that is recommended for contour improvement. If the skin is loose and has poor tone, an arm lift is the only procedure that will lead to a significant contour improvement. Liposuction is commonly performed prior to Brachioplasty to maximize the aesthetic result.
Neck Lift
A neck lift procedure can restore the foundation of a youthful-looking neck by improving visible signs of aging on the neck and jawline. The procedure begins with a tiny incision that is made discreetly underneath the jawline after numbing the localized treatment area. Next, a laser fiber, which is about the size of the tip of a pen, is used to deliver a thermally regulated laser energy to melt fat and to tighten the skin by stimulating collagen production. Laser Liposuction is commonly used in conjunction with a surgical neck lift when removal of excess fat is desired.
